No one can come to me, unless the Father who sent me makes them want to come. But if they do come, I will raise them to life on the last day. One of the prophets wrote, “God will teach all of them.” And so everyone who listens to the Father and learns from him will come to me …. I tell you for certain that everyone who has faith in me has eternal life. (John 6:44, 45, 47, CEV)

Although it is primarily an encouragement for people who are estranged from their spouses, I have found it a comfort and reinforcement to me as a spouse who is hoping my family and neighbors will come to Christ. The principles are pretty much the same. We stand, hoping in God, and finding our joy day to day in Him, praying that our loved ones will come home to Christ.

I get the daily newsletter, which is titled Charlyne Cares. I especially like the Saturday edition, because each Saturday excerpts are published from standers who see events that God has given them in their lives to show His intention that their homes and lives be made whole. Maybe I am putting that wrong, but as I see it, God sets us free and teaches us how to have relationships with others. This is real-time testimony of what God is doing.
